Check for the Dishwasher Safe Symbol
On the bottom of most items, including glassware, there should be a stamp indicating whether the item is safe to use in the dishwasher. Below are the most common symbols indicating that an item is dishwasher safe.
Some symbols will be a fork or a plate with water above them, indicating that it can go anywhere in the dishwasher. Others may have a couple of words indicating that the item is only safe for use on the top rack.
